Wanted in busting glass at Fort Stanwix

Rome Police are searching for a man who broke out several windows at the Willet Center at the Fort Stanwix National Monument on New Year’s Eve.

Police said the man smashed several windows at the visitor’s center shortly before midnight at the corner of North James Street and Erie Boulevard West. The male wore a light-colored coat, dark pants and white shoes. He was also wearing a hat.

The vandal was last seen running east towards East Dominick Street. Anyone with information on the vandalism or may know the identity of the man is asked to call the Detective Division at 339-7715.
