Lady Black Knights improve to 13-1 by downing Camden

The Rome Free Academy junior varsity girls basketball team raised its record to 13-1 overall with a 57-27 triumph over host Camden on Tuesday. Tricia Loso had 13 points.

RFA crushes Camden

In other junior varsity basketball action, the RFA boys cruised to a 80-27 triumph over visiting Camden. Christian Redus knocked in 13 points for Rome, as Dylan Cadrette chipped in 12 points and five steals in the win.

Redskins top Old Forge

The Oriskany junior varsity boys basketball team claimed a 58-33 victory over visiting Old Forge to move to 7-0 in the league and 10-1 overall. Tyler Tarkowski led the winners with 10 points, while Dominick Silvestri and Robert O’Neal had eight each.

Bulldogs open with win

The Westmoreland boys modified basketball A team opened up its season with a 41-33 win over visiting Waterville. Joe Becker led the team with 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Jacob Shackleford had 10 points.

Orange beat Notre Dame

The Rome girls modified Orange basketball squad posted a 23-26 victory over Notre Dame of Utica to jump its record to 8-1 overall on the winter season.

Rome Black falls in OT

In more girls modified basketball action, the Rome Black suffered a 21-20 overtime loss to Donovan Middle School.

Waterville downs Bulldogs

The Westmoreland modified girls basketball team dropped to a 22-4 decision to Waterville.

Mary Lynn Sweeney scored two points for the Bulldogs.
