Internet security class slated
ORISKANY — Oriskany Public Library, 621 Utica St., is offering a free training on Basic Internet Security and Computer Maintenance training on Jan. 13 and 20, from 2-4 p.m.
The two-part training for experienced computer users teaches how to use free software to keep one’s personal computer safe from software infections while using the internet (web browsing, receiving email, etc.), as well as basic maintenance to keep the PC working in optimal condition. Students will learn safe web browsing and e-mail practices, and other techniques.
