Dominick ‘Coke’ Giannotti
@Body.10. no-hyphen:Dominick "Coke" Giannotti, age 90, of Dunnellon, Florida, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Citrus Memorial Hospital Hospice Care Unit in Inverness, Florida.
Coke was born in Rome, New York on November 4, 1921 to the late Giovanni and Concetta (Griffo) Giannotti, and moved there in 1986 from Tampa, FL. He retired from the U.S. Government as a carpenter and served our Country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Roman Hathaway Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine Temple and was a 32 Degree Mason.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Florence (Peggy) Giannotti; a son, David (Kathy) Giannotti of Montecito, CA; a daughter, Elaine (Kenneth) Hakken of Dunnellon, FL; a sister, Minnie Kallas of Herndon, VA; four grandchildren, Mary Beth, Katie, Joshua and Sarah; four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Meg, William and Cole.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon with Fr. Robert Lewis of Church of The Advent, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery, Clearwater.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
