Three hurt in crash at Stokes Corners
TOWN OF LEE — Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 26 and Stokes-Lee Center Road Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff’s deputies said James Anna, 47, of Lee, was northbound on Route 26 at 4:36 p.m. when he attempted to make a left turn onto Stokes-Lee Center Road. Deputies said Anna cut off a southbound 2009 Toyota, driving by Dorothy Schoff, 61, of West Leyden, which collided with Anna’s 2001 Ford. The collision pushed Schoff’s Toyota into a utility pole.
Deputies said both drivers and Schoff’s passenger, 59-year-old Michael Schoff, of West Leyden, were transported to Rome Memorial Hospital. Deputies said all three were wearing their seat-belts, and their injuries were not life-threatening.
Anna was ticketed to failure to yield, authorities said.
