The Holland Patent and Camden field hockey teams are set to host tournaments over the weekend as both squads look to continue their solid seasons.
The Camden Lady Blue Devils will compete in their second tournament in as many weeks as they present the eighth annual O’Connor Classic on Friday.
Defending Section III Class B champion Camden matches up with Cazenovia in a first-round matchup beginning at 6:30 after Mount Markham battles Morrisville-Eaton in the opener at 5.
The tournament resumes on Saturday, with the consolation game taking place at 1 p.m. and then the championship round following afterwards at 2:30.
Camden’s roster includes junior forwards Holly VanDresar and Kianne Hinkle, as well as, senior Kelcy Forbragd.
Juniors Aubrey Coon, Courtney Bradish and senior Megan Keil will be at midfield, while seniors Kayla Littler, Sarah Link, juniors Linda VanPelt and Kady O’Rourke helms the defense.
Junior Katie Marnell, sophomore Bailee Barrett and Hannah Cleveland are also a part of the Camden group.
Holland Patent will host three teams in its annual Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday, with action starting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday when Holland Patent battles Whitesboro in what will also count as a Tri-Valley League game. The other opening-round game matches New York Mills against Fayetteville-Manlius at 5:15.
The consolation game will take place at 10:30 on Saturday morning, with the championship game beginning at noon.
The 4-1-1 overall Lady Golden Knights’ roster includes senior forwards Sarah Semit, Melissa Quintanilla, junior Sarah Johnson and sophomore Megan Quintanilla.
Midfield will be patrolled by seniors Melanie Gerace and Randi Strumpfler as well as junior Brooke Smith. Senior Liz Hayes, juniors Danielle Sandbrook and Julia Hayes, and sophomore Katie Weiss will man the defense.
Junior Emily Oliver and sophomore Allison Freiermuth will serve as goalkeepers.
