¿ Pops Concert presented by the Rome Concert Band, 7-8:30 p.m., Rome Concert Band, Franklyn’s Field Band Shell. Promenade in Swingtime, Washington Post March, Coat of Arms, and Lassus Trombone are featured selections. Conductor Anthony Joseph will lead the band. Guest vocalist Andrea DelPiano will also perform.
The concert is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. Audience members should bring their own seating. Rain location is Rome Free Academy.

¿ Honor America Days Parade Run, 8:30-9 a.m., downtown Rome. Roman Runners annual 5k Parade Run begins at the intersection of North James and West Dominick streets and ends at the Parade Reviewing Stand at the Odd Fellows Lodge across from the VFW on North Washington Street. ¿ Honor America Days Parade, 10 a.m., upper North James Street to West Embargo Street, past the Reviewing Stand at the Odd Fellows Lodge across from the VFW, to North George Street, West Dominick Street, to North James Street. ¿ Rome VFW Ladies Auxiliary hosts a food and beverage tent, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rome VFW Post, 315 N. Washington St. Hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages, salt potatoes and soft drinks available during the parade. This is an annual fundraiser for the Ladies Auxiliary. Information at 337-7740.

¿ Honor America Days Syracuse Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert, 8 p.m. at Fort Stanwix National Monument featuring patriotic music, marches, Americana, along with traditional closings of the 1812 Overture and the Stars & Stripes, with church bells, cannon fire, and fireworks. Sunday, Aug. 1:
¿ 14th annual Tour of Homes, 1-5 p.m., The Rome Home, 417 N. Washington St. Tour eight homes. Buy tickets at any of the homes on tour. ¿ Rome Sports Hall of Fame & Museum 2010 induction reception, 3-5 p.m., 5790 Rome New London Road. ¿ "1935 at the Movies," 3-6 p.m., Capitol Theater, 220 W. Dominick St. In partnership with the Capitol Theatre and Eastern National, Fort Stanwix National Monument is sponsoring a 75th anniversary event at the theater. The feature film will be "The Farmer Takes a Wife," based on the play of the same title and the novel "Rome Haul" by Walter D. Edmonds. The story is set in 19th century Rome, and depicts life on the Erie Canal. The stars of the Victor Fleming-directed Fox film are Janet Gaynor, Henry Fonda (re-creating his Broadway role in his film debut), and Charles Bickford. Net proceeds from the event go toward funding women’s health. The fashion show includes a signature martini for each guest, a raffle and auction.
