NATIONAL: Tropical Storm Bonnie was forecast to keep pushing toward the northern coast of the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday, while most of the Eastern U.S. remained extremely hot and muggy.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Friday ranged from a low of 35 degrees at Stanley, Idaho, to a high of 104 degrees at Needles, Calif.
