Kevin Wilson, Rome, won the Wells College Julia Taylor Martin prize in American History for his paper "The Republican Party and Abolition." The award is annually given to the student the best paper in the field of American history.

Meliss Vair, Durhamville, won the Wells College Dorothy Allison Razor’s Edge Prize in women’s students. The award is given annually to graduating women’s studies majors or minors who have demonstrated a commitment and understanding of the political, social, intellectual, and transformative goals of women’s studies and feminism.
