Oriskany scores 17 runs in third during easy win

ORISKANY — Oriskany’s baseball erupted for 17 runs in the third inning and cruised to a 27-11 rout of Old Forge on Friday in a non-league matchup.

The Redskins also had four triples in the contest with one each from Travis Tyler, Noah Lupini, Tyler McCorduck and Nate Keating.

Rhett Kallassy led the Redskins offense with three hits and four RBIs, while Tyler, Lupini, Keating and Joe Doolen each had two hits apiece. Tyler drove in four RBIs, Lupini had three RBIs and McCorduck had three RBIs as well.

Keating picked up the winning pitching decision after three innings of relief, and Tony Delacruz received the loss on the hill for 0-3 overall Old Forge.

Oriskany evened its record at 4-4 overall and will get back to league play when the Redskins host Morrisville-Eaton on Monday at 4:30 p.m. in a Center State Conference Division III contest.
