Kenneth C. LaRock, II, 53, of Dingle St., Camden, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at his residence with his girls at his side. He was born on August 12, 1956, in Lowville, NY, the son of Kenneth and Leola Smith LaRock. He was a graduate of Camden Central High School. On May 16, 1981, Ken was united in marriage to Bonnie Carpenter in Rome.
Ken was employed by WalMart Distribution Center in Marcy for several years. He was previously employed by Harden’s Furniture and Camden Wire.
Ken was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church.
Surviving, besides his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Bonnie, and his parents, Kenneth and Leola, of Franklin, NC, are two daughters, Kylee and Katie LaRock; a sister and brother-in-law, Laura Lee and Keith Koster, of Franklin, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Pat LaRock, of West Amboy, NY; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Carpenter, of McConnellsville, Jim and Kim Carpenter, of Lee Center, Kenny and Brenda Light, of Williamstown, Jeff and Dionne Carpenter, of Boonville, and Darren and Beth Sherwood, of Taberg; five nieces, Cami, Coral, Cheslea, Casey and Madison; three nephews, Justin, Adam and Bailey; and two godsons, Jace and Josh Janczewski.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Camden United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m., where the Rev. Steve Maddox will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 St. Rt. 13, Camden. Contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to the Relay for Life.
