The county has scheduled two more open H1N1/swine flu immunization clinics, on Tuesday and Saturday in Utica, said Health Department spokesman Ken Fanelli.
The Tuesday clinic is from 4:30-7 p.m. at the county’s clinic at 406 Elizabeth St. Fanelli said it will be for adults ages 19-24, plus adults ages 25-64 at risk fo medical complications due to underlying conditions.
The Saturday clinic is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the County Office Building, First floor. It will be for children between ages 6 months and 18 years old, Fanelli said.
No cash fees will be charged at the clinics, said Fanelli. Medicaid and Medicare billings will be accepted.
The county has about 1,200 vaccine doses available for the clinics, said Fanelli. Of appoximately 5,000 doses received by the county last week, about 3,000 are being set aside for upcoming immunization programs in school districts within the county while 750 were provided to St. Elizabeth hospital in Utica for staff immunizations, he said.
The county held an open swine flu immunization clinic last week that was attended by about 600 people who qualified for the vaccine under priority guidelines set federally.
