• Surafia Norries, 25, of 426 Park Drive Manor II, was sentenced Friday to 50 hours of community service, ordered to pay a $95 surcharge and was granted a one-year conditional discharge on one count of second-degree harassment. A charge of second-degree imprisonment was dismissed. Police said at 9 p.m. April 27, Norries repeatedly grabbed his 22-year-old girlfriend by the shoulders to prevent her from leaving their apartment during an argument. Police said Norries also struck her in the face and head.
• David M. Amici, 21, of 120 W. North St., was released on his own recognizance Monday on charges of second-degree imprisonment and second-degree harassment. His case was adjourned to Sept. 22. Police said at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 6, Amici grabbed a 16-year-old girl by both arms and held her, wrapping his arms around her so that she could not leave her Sam Street apartment.
