A forum about how proposed 2018 federal budget cuts could impact local human service providers will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Utica Public Library, 303 Genesee St.

Ron Deutsch, executive director of the Fiscal Policy Institute, will be the presenter. The program will discuss how the recently passed House of Representatives’ budget resolution and other federal budget proposals could impact residents, municipalities and non-profits, and what New York state could do to address cuts if they’re implemented.

The session is intended for local human service providers and professionals, as well as nonprofit and public agencies. Sponsors include Restore Opportunity Now, a statewide coalition of human services providers, Central New York Citizen Action, Citizen Action of NY, Fiscal Policy Institute, Hunger Action Network and Human Services Council of New York.
