Where does Brindisi stand on health care?
Anthony Brindisi and his donor Nancy Pelosi have started their mean-spirited campaigns to falsely portray Rep. Claudia Tenney as voting to take away our health care. As a man with several serious medical issues, health care is critical to me and my family. Voters shouldn’t be fooled by the “Throwing granny off a cliff” facade. It’s nothing more than a talking point and shameless scare tactic. Here are facts:
First, Tenney indeed voted to repeal the individual mandate in Obamacare — a vote that is popular in the 22nd district, since families like mine continue to suffer under skyrocketing premiums and limited options.
Second, Tenney voted for over $7 billion in funding for Community Health Centers which provide primary and preventive care to more than 150,000 low-income people in our region. Third, she co-sponsored the Pre-existing Condition Protection Act to make sure people can’t be discriminated against for pre-existing conditions. Finally, despite Brindisi’s lies, Tenney voted to fund CHIP, Children’s Health Insurance Program, for 10 years!
Our congresswoman is a compassionate representative who took care of her mother in her final days and raised her son as a single mom. For my family, health care is very personal. That’s why our family is voting for Claudia.
