Rome Chamber salutes all who make Honor America Days possible

Honor America Days is fun for the entire family, and congratulations to Mayor Jackie Izzo for her steadfast leadership of the Honor America Days Committee. Although the Chamber of Commerce and the city are administering and managing the many aspects associated with presenting this weekend’s annual Parade and Pops Concert, it is important to recognize the invaluable support of the numerous businesses and organizations that generously provide the funding to make Honor America Days possible.

A list is shown on the Chamber website, www.RomeChamber.com.Their donations range from $100 to $10,000, adding up to the $60,000 that makes “Rome’s Biggest Day of the Year” the spectacular event that the community has become accustomed to enjoying since 1984.

For the most part, the retail sponsors of Honor America Days and the supporters of the Chamber’s Silent Auction fund raiser, held annually during the winter to benefit Honor America Days, are Rome-based businesses.

The Chamber reminds those who enjoy Honor America Days and the community pride that it arouses in all of us to look to our sponsors first when shopping for goods and services.  Local businesses drive our economy.

You help retail establishments to remain stable and grow when you Shop Rome First. You help to ensure the success of Honor America Days when you Shop Rome First. Granted, not all sponsors and supporters are retail-oriented, however all recognize the importance of promoting Rome’s heritage and the quality of life we enjoy in our community.

The Chamber salutes all who are making Honor America Days possible including the staff at Fort Stanwix and the dedicated City of Rome employees who are helping to ensure a safe and successful weekend.
