Let’s protect future generation
Is there any good news in today’s world? Recently there seems to be an increase in violence, especially concerning our schools.
Our educational system has gone downhill and unacceptable behavior has no consequences. It appears that society is too busy with material things instead of attending school board meetings and discussing major concerns of our children.
Several years ago I personally asked Superintendent Jeff Siomons as to why metal detectors were not installed at our new high school. His response was that “detectors sometimes give false alarms.” Wouldn’t you rather have a false alarm then to have a tragedy? It’s time to react to violence and protect our future generation. Instead of focusing on trivial things let’s do the major things to protect our children. Are we slow learners?
