Grateful for Rome Home support
The Rome Home Board of Managers is very appreciative of the Daily Sentinel article a few days ago about the closing. The paper has always been most supportive of our events, especially The Rome Home Tour of Homes in July, as well as other fund-raising occasions. Thank you for your support all these years.
Besides expressing our thanks to The Herkimer-Oneida County Foundation, The Rome Community Foundation, and the City of Rome, we would like to recognize the other foundations which have been generous and loyal to The Rome Home. They are The Berkshire Bank Foundation, The First Source Foundation, The Dorothy Griffin Foundation, The Shirley and William Griffin Foundation, The Hazen B. Hinman Foundation, The NBT Foundation, The Rome Savings Bank Foundation. The Sears Family Foundation, and The Zingerline Foundation. Without their funds, our role in the community would have been different.
Individuals in the Rome area, as well as clubs and organizations, have been exceedingly generous to The Rome Home over the past one hundred years, not to exclude the Board members themselves. Rome is a special place!
