Board of Education shouldn’t have cut off speaker
After attending the Board of Education meeting on Oct. 24 I was disgusted with the attitude of a board member.
As a taxpayer I am aware of the problems our schools are having with unacceptable behavior and it seems to be a problem with adults failing to be a good example. It was humiliating to Ms. Christine Jobson to be cut short of expressing her concerns and I applaud her for not retaliating, which I certainly would have done. It’s the taxpayers’ checkbook, and we have a right to address concerns. Every person deserves respect and an apology should have been made openly at the meeting, not afterward.
