OLD FORGE — The View Arts Center in Old Forge will present a stage production of “Beauty and the Beast,” to be performed by players of the Pendragon Theatre, on Monday, July 23, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Admission is $15, $8 for children, and children under 5 are admitted freely. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

Based on the animated Disney film by the same name, the play tells the story of a French prince cursed by a witch for being shallow who crosses paths with a bookish girl from a provincial town. The play is to include beloved songs from the soundtrack of the film, as well as lesser known numbers from the Broadway production.

The production is directed by Matt Sorensen, with musical direction by Elizabeth Cordes and choreography by Terpsie Toon. The play will star James Batt, Paige Curtis, and Eleanor Crowley, among other players of the Pendragon Theatre.
