Cinema Capitol (230 W. Dominick St.) will present the British comedy “The Trip to Spain” from Sept. 8 to 14.

Directed by Michael Winterbottom, “The Trip to Spain” is a follow-up to Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon’s previous movies “The Trip” and “The Trip to Italy”. After their jaunts through northern England and Italy, the duo embark on another culinary road trip. This time around, they head to Spain to sample the best of the country’s gastronomic offerings in between rounds of their off-the-cuff banter. Over plates of pintxos and paella, the pair exchange their patented celebrity impressions, as well as more serious reflections on what it means to settle into middle age.

The Atlantic writes that the movie is “a perfect piece of British comedy comfort food.” Bob Mondello of NPA writes that “I would follow these guys on a trip to anywhere.”

“The Trip to Spain” runs 115 minutes and is not rated. Admission is $7, $6 for students and military, and $5 for Capitol Friends. Tickets are available at the door and in advance from the Capitol Theatre box office (315-337-6453) and online at www.romecapitol.com.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 3:45 and 7:15 p.m., Sunday at 12:45 and 3:45 p.m., and Monday-Thursday at 7:15 p.m. The Friday 3:45 and Sunday 12:45 show times will include captions for the hearing-impaired.
