Cinema Capitol, 230 W. Dominick St., will present the British comedy “Finding Your Feet” from Friday through Thursday.

The movie stars Academy Award-nominee Imelda Staunton as the timid Sandra, who discovers that her husband of 40 years (John Sessions) is having an affair with her best friend (Josie Lawrence). She seeks refuge in London with her estranged, older sister Bif (Celia Imrie).

The two could not be more different. Sandra is a fish out of water next to her outspoken, serial dating, free-spirited sibling. But different is just what Sandra needs at the moment, and she reluctantly lets Bif drag her along to a community dance class, where gradually she starts finding her feet and romance as she meets her sister’s friends (Timothy Spall, Joanna Lumley and David Hayman).

Director Richard Loncraine was awarded Best Narrative Feature for at the 2018 Palm Springs International Film Festival.

The movie runs 111 minutes and is rated PG-13 (for suggestive material, brief drug use and brief strong language). Admission is $7, $6 for students and military and $5 for Capitol Friends. Tickets are available at the door and in advance from the Capitol Theatre box office (315-337-6453) and online at www.romecapitol.com.

Show times are Friday and Saturday at 4 and 7 p.m., Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m. and Monday-Thursday at 7 p.m. The Friday 4 and Sunday 1 show times will include captions for the hearing-impaired.
