Rome school district to electronically distribute flyers
For the new school year, the Rome school district will be working with a vendor to electronically distribute fliers that typically have been copied and sent home through backpacks, says Superintendent Peter C. Blake.
Blake in his blog on the school district’s website at www.romecsd.org includes a link where parents can sign up for the program if they have not already done so.
“Beyond just the distribution of fliers, the program can also allow individuals to register or sign up for events online...allowing building staffs to have a better handle on attendance figures prior to an event,” said Blake. He also pointed out, “in the first week of service, the district has saved more than 35,000 pieces of paper.”
