A third annual event titled the “iam idecide Convention: Understanding the Secret to Owning Your Power” will be presented May 1 at 4 p.m. at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Utica campus, in the Information Technology Building. Admission is $5 general, $2 for MVCC employees, and free for MVCC students.

The event, presented by MVCC instructor Nivia Cavic, explores the relationship between words, thoughts, and actions, the college said. It focuses on the “iam” and the “idecide” as keys to understanding the self, personal power, and the role that they play in authentic, purposeful living, MVCC added. Proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
