A “Mindmajik” show featuring hypnotist and mentalist John Bates will be presented March 9 at 7 p.m. at the Rome Free Academy auditorium to support RFA’s junior class of 2019, the Rome school district announced.

It will be “an evening of fun,” and “an entertaining event that highlights the volunteers, our stars of the show,” the district said. Pre-sale tickets for the public as well as for students are $7. Tickets at the door will be $10. For information, call RFA at

The show will involve about 20 volunteers from the audience, the district said. Some adults and students have been “pre-selected,” the district noted. Among them: RFA Principal Brian LeBaron; ENL (English as a New Language) teacher Diane Stevenson; RFA physical education teacher Michelle Browne; RFA senior Noah Nardozza; and RFA juniors Kyle Clark and Tejas Desai.
