Student Stores adds
retail sales in Whitestown

TOWN OF WHITESTOWN — Student Stores, a supplier of school and office supplies for 40 years, has adding a retail component.

The new Student Stores retail outlet carries more than 600 products, including basic school supplies, office supplies, toys and novelties. The outlet is located on 141 Clear Road, off Judd Road, just west of Airport Road. It will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The inventory can be viewed at www.maxcowen.com.

Dan Smith, chief executive officer of Student Stores, said, "So often we hear frustrated parents and teachers talk about their experiences of trying to fill their children’s school supplies list or their classroom needs as the first day of school approaches. We have a warehouse full of school and office supplies and can offer them at prices that will remind some parents and teachers of their school days."

Student Stores also has fundraising programs. School districts, Parent-Teacher Organizations and school-sponsored and affiliated clubs can generate revenue from the Students Stores’ fundraising programs, according to Smtih.

Student Stores was founded in 1971 by the late Max L. Cowen. The business relocated to the Town of Whitestown in November 2011, under the ownership of Frank Giotto.
