WHITESTOWN — A Connecticut man is accused of driving under the influence of marijuana and narcotics on the Thruway Sunday night.
Schuyler-based state police said Brian T. Gendreau, 36, of Moodus, was pulled over for speeding in the westbound lane at 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Once stopped, troopers said Gendreau was found to have used marijuana and narcotic analgesics. He was also found with a quantity of marijuana, authorities stated.
Gendreau is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana, troopers stated. He was arraigned and sent to county jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court on Aug. 20.
