TOWN OF MARCY — A pair of accused squatters were taken into custody at a vacant house on Columbus Drive Thursday morning after law enforcers said they were found with alcohol and marijuana.

State police said Artem Kozakevich, 22, and Taylor Linebeck, 18, were both found inside the vacant residence at about 8:42 a.m. Troopers said the pair had been squatting in the vacant house for the past two days, and claimed that the front door had been left unlocked. Troopers said Kozakevich was giving alcohol to the underage Linebeck.

Both Kozakevich and Linebeck are charged with one count each of second-degree trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana, troopers said. Kozakevich is additionally charged with one count of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child. They were both released on appearance tickets to Town Court.
