Dorothy Ruth Trapp, age 70, of Rome, passed away peacefully, June 2, 2012.

She was born in Baldwinsville, a daughter of Marshall and Loretta VanHorn Trapp, and educated in Baldwinsville schools.

Dorothy’s life revolved around her family, especially spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Dawn and Thomas Ng of Toms River, NJ, and Shelly Garringer and fiancé, Jay Fink of Rio Rancho, NM; a brother, Marshall Trapp, Jr. of Skaneateles; grandchildren, Amanda and Adam Beyette, Thomas, Kimberly, Patrick and Jonathan Ng, Brittany Blair and James and Nicole Blair, Darlene and Collette Sayles; and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorrine Blair and son, James L. Blair, Jr.; and other sisters and brothers.

The funeral service will be held today, at 7:00 p.m. at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
