NEW HARTFORD — First Source Federal Credit Union will host its annual Safety Day and Kids Ride from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at New Hartford Recreation Center.

Those who attend will interact with all participants, whose goal is to keep children safe. There will be several interactive sites for toddlers to teen-agers.

Cost is $5 per person to get in with proceeds going to the Ride for Missing Children-CNY. There will be food and drinks, fire truck and smoke house, car seat safety checks, an EMS booth, bounce house, ring toss, dunk tank, face painting and tattoos, hands-on crafts, costumed characters, a zoo booth, popcorn and cotton candy, a live radio remote, a Cyber Security booth, free child I.D.s, a balloon release and safety demonstrations. Also featured will be a Kids Safety Bike Rodeo, sponsored by Liberty Mutual. Children ages 5-12 ride through a safety town that teaches them rules of bike safety along the way. Kids who participate will get a free back pack with goodies including a commemorative T-shirt.
