Mark A. Fletcher, 44, of Stittville, a loving and devoted father, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at his home. He was born on August 26, 1967, in Utica, the son of Richard and Margaret Hammon Fletcher. He was a graduate of Holland Patent Central High School, Class of 1985.
He was employed by Granny’s Kitchens in Frankfort for several years. Mark previously worked at Rite Aid Distribution Center in Rome.
Mark proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking, and an avid sports fan including Michigan University, the New York Yankees, and the New York Giants.
Surviving besides his mother, Margaret, of Rome; are his fiancé, Jamie Tennant, of Stittville; a daughter, Emily "Maggie" Fletcher, of Stittville; two sons, Bryan "Junk" Fletcher, of New York Mills, and Connor "Con-Lee" Fletcher, of Stittville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Carlo Cotronea, of Rome, and Catherine and Ronald Macera, of Ilion; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard and Diane Fletcher, Jr., of TN, and Scott Fletcher, of Floyd; a special canine companion, Mazey; and several nieces and nephews. Mark was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel Fletcher, and Ronald Fletcher; a sister, Donna Carpenter; and his father, Richard Fletcher.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
