Earlier this summer I had a problem where I live. Not getting satisfaction from other people that I spoke to I wrote a letter to Mayor James Brown. I gave the letter to Mayor Brown’s secretary at 1:30 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. When my phone rang before 10 a.m. the following Monday I just knew that it was our mayor, and it was.
He sent two people over within four hours and a resolution was reached regarding my problem. Mayor Brown was concerned, compassionate and sincere.
One of my relatives who lives out of town said that she couldn’t believe that our mayor would call me. I can. He has done much for us, from beautifying our city, trying to bring in more jobs and trying to make Rome a safer community.
We owe it to Jim Brown to let him finish what he started. Vote for Mayor Jim Brown on Nov. 8.
