Clinton, Westmoreland both suffer setbacks
The Clinton football team scored 13 fourth quarter points but lost to visiting Mount Markham 20-13 on Oct. 13.
Tanner Deveans threw two late touchdowns, first to Josh Wilcox from two yards then to Carter Hinderling from 11. He’d end the day with 130 yards passing.
Deveans and Aiden Walters led the defense with 12 tackles each. They also had one sack apiece.
Clinton, which is 1-6 overall, will play a crossover game in Port Byron at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18.
Westmoreland fell to Dolgeville 42-8 on Oct. 13 to conclude its regular season.
Mike Alloggio had a 29-yard run for the team’s lone score, and David Piersall hit Calvin Hooper with a pass for the two-point conversion.
Sean Klopfanstein led the team with 57 yards rushing.
Defensively, the Bulldogs were paced by Richie Holmes with 13 tackles and Klopfanstein with 11.
Westmoreland, which is 1-6 overall, will be home for Adirondack at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 in a crossover contest.
