Scot V. Taylor, age 63, of Clinton, New York passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at home.  He was born on May 8, 1955 in Utica, the oldest of three children born to James I. and Ruth Eleanor (Skip) VanDenBergh Taylor. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1974 and attended RIT. Scott worked as a pressman for TC Peters Printing Company in Utica, and was a regular at Don’s Rok in Clinton.

People knew Scot as a genuinely kindhearted and gracious person. He enjoyed playing hockey, golf, and tennis and watching football, especially the NY Giants. He was an avid Science Fiction reader and loved crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Paul Rossi of Corning, two grandchildren, Michael and Steven Rossi, sisters, Laurian VanMunster of Rochester and Emily Hildebrand of Clinton, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large group of friends. Along with his parents, Scot was predeceased by an infant daughter, Anna Rose Taylor. Scot was always willing to help his family, either physically or just by listening. He was often the voice of reason, and chose to live and let live. They will always love and miss him.

A celebration of Scot’s life will be held at Don’s Rok on Saturday, October 27 at 1:00 p.m.
