Bright Spots: Clinton community displays artistic talents

CLINTON — Several members of the Clinton community displayed their artistic talents at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Sidewalk Art Show on Genesee Street in Utica June 26 through July 1.

The Sidewalk Art Show began in 1939, making it one of the area’s longest-running art exhibitions. The juried show features works by artists who reside within a 40-mile radius of Utica.

Visitors vote for their favorite works and awards are given to winners in each category: Oil and Acrylic; Photography; Watercolor; Prints & Drawings; Mixed Media; Sculpture; and High School.

Local artists who displayed works:

Frank Vlossak, Montana Fletcher, Marc Goldberg, Mark Williams, Maria Peycke, Patrick Knapp, Mark Tiffany, Chloe Call, Candace Kugel and Daniel J. Sheets.
