Boy George and Culture Club, The B-52s perform July 26

Boy George and Culture Club, and The B-52s Life Tour will stop at the Turning Stone Event Center July 26 at 8 p.m.

Culture Club are an English new wave band that formed in London in 1981. The band comprises Boy George (lead vocals), Roy Hay (guitar and keyboards), Mikey Craig (bass guitar) and Jon Moss (drums and percussion).

Their hits include “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me” and “Karma Chameleon”. 

A DJ since the late 70’s, Boy George has had a long and successful career associated with house music stemming from early acid house and Chicago grooves in the 80’s, through to electro and tech house in the 90’s and 00’s.

The B-52s are an American new wave band, formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. The band is best known for “Rock Lobster,” “Love Shack” and “Roam.” “As they take their party-music revolution into the 21st century the B-52s show no signs of slowing down, serving up their own unique blend of music and showmanship to millions of fans around the world,” according to their website.

Current touring members include Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson and Fred Schneider.
