Happy Tails reading program, Family art show featured at library

KIRKLAND — Kirkland Town Library on College Street will continue its Happy Trails Reading Program and feature an inter-generational art show.

A schedule of library
activities and events:

LEGO Sumo Robot Riot

May 23 and 30 from 6-7 p.m.

Learn to build LEGO Mindstorm robots and program them to fight for dominance in the sumo ring.

Happy Tails Reading Program

Thursday, May 24 at 3:30 p.m.

Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade who can read independently are invited to take a turn reading to Captain, a trained therapy dog.

Memorial Day

The library will be closed on Monday, May 28.

Wednesday Book Group

Wednesday, May 30 at 7 p.m.

All are invited to a conversation on “One Plus One,” by Jojo Moyes.

Now On View In The Bristol Room

“It Runs In The Family: An Inter-generational Art Show” is an exhibit by artists and their talented family members. On view through May 31.

Weekly Story Times

• Wigglers for ages 0-2 on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

• Walkers for ages 2-3 on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

• Talkers for ages 3-5 on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Tech Tuesdays

Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.
