Raiders remain undefeated on home ice by beating Harvard

HAMILTON — The Colgate hockey team stretched its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-1 upset victory over No. 5 Harvard at the Class of 1965 Arena on Friday night.

The Raiders remained unbeaten at home, improving to 4-0-2 in six games.

Colgate’s unbeaten streak is it’s longest since recording an eight-game unbeaten streak at the end of the 2014-15 season

Sophomore goalie Colton Point made 30 saves for the Raiders as he extended his unbeaten streak to nine games, moving to 5-0-4 on the season.

Jared Cockrell kicked the scoring off for Colgate and Paul Meyer scored his second career goal for the game winner for the Raiders.

Ryan Donato scored on the power play for Harvard.

Colgate’s win over Harvard was its first against a top-five team since beating Quinnipiac in the ECAC semifinals on March 21, 2014

Colgate improves to 5-2-4 overall on the season, 2-0-1 in the ECAC.

The Raiders return to the ice this afternoon at 4 as they host Dartmouth.
