Welsh heritage event Sunday

CLINTON — “The Welsh in Central New York” will be presented by Jay G. Williams III at the Clinton Historical Society, 1 Fountain St., at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14. The program is free.

Williams’ talk will include the importance of the chapel as a focus in Welsh community life. He will show photos of former local Welsh churches as they look today. 

Williams is a long-time member of the Clinton Historical Society and a local attorney. He has written two books: “Memory Stones:  Welsh-Americans of Central New York and Their Churches” and “Songs of Praises: Welsh-Rooted Churches Beyond Britain.”
