Rogers center offers toy snake workshop Saturday

SHERBURNE — The Rogers Environmental Education Center, 2721 State Route 80, Sherburne, is hosting “Make ‘n Take Snake” activity on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Participants will be given materials and instruction to create their very own one-of-a-kind articulated wooden snake. Snakes will be made from wood harvested in Chenango County.

Cost is $12, $10 for members. Pre-registration required by noon on Feb. 17 by calling 607-674-4733. Participants must be at least 8 years old.

Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that offers educational programs for people of all ages. Seasonal hours are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
