OLD FORGE — Beginning in February, View arts center will host a new drawing workshop with local artist Robert Imundo teaching the magic of drawing using the techniques of pencil logic.

The workshop will meet on Tuesdays, Feb. 20-27, and March 6-13, from 3:15-5:15 p.m. The registration deadline is Feb. 19.  To register, go to ViewArts.org or call 315-369-6411.

Students will practice the dynamics of line, the subtle use of shade, and the value of contrast. They will work with a variety of pencil graphite weights, conte crayons, erasers, and different types of paper. Imundo will also teach students to use the grid as an aid to orient objects on paper and to reevaluate use of composition.

The class is open to students ages 16 and older with beginner to intermediate skill levels looking to explore and strengthen their drawing skills. It will be an open studio format.

The cost for the workshop, including materials, is $120, or $130 for guests.  Pre-registration is required. View is located at 3273 Route 28.
